Courtesy call by Governor Obi and his successor to UN office in Abuja

Anambra State Governor Peter Obi and his successor, Governor-Elect Willie Obiano, paid a courtesy call on February 19 to the UN Resident Coordinator / UNDP Resident Representative, Mr. Daouda Toure. Governor Obi and his team met with Mr. Toure and the Deputy Executive Director of UN Habitat, Dr. Aisa Kirobo Kyacira, who was on a mission in Nigeria at the time. Obi said the purpose of the visit to the UN was to introduce his successor, Chief Obiano, and to seek continued UN support for the development efforts of the state.
