From 8-9 May 2016, an inaugural meeting of the Lake Chad Basin Governor’s Forum for regional cooperation on stabilization, peace-building, and sustainable development interventions in the region affected by Boko Haram, was held in Maiduguri, Borno State, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

This first meeting of the Forum was jointly organized by the State Government of Borno, UNDP in Nigeria, and brought together over 150 participants who discussed issues affecting the region and explored avenues for addressing them. The Governors established the Forum and committted using it as a platform for engagement. This page provides an overview of all the published material that was used and produced at the Forum.
